STATE FOLK ART & CRAFT CENTER

The South Carolina Artisans Center was designated as the official State Folk Art and Craft Center by Act Number 256 of 2000. The Center is a non-profit organization located in Walterboro, South Carolina. The Center’s sole purpose is to interpret, market, preserve, and perpetuate the folk art and fine craftsmanship of South Carolina artisans.

CAMDEN MILITARY ACADEMY
STATE MILITARY ACADEMY

Camden Military Academy was designated as the official State Military Academy by Act Number 56 of 2001. Camden Military Academy was originally founded as Camden Academy in 1950. In 1958 Carlisle Military School purchased the Camden Academy and the name changed to the Camden Military Academy. The schools mission is to accept young men of unfulfilled promise and lead them to a future of success.

ABBEVILLE OPERA HOUSE
STATE RURAL DRAMA CENTER

The Abbeville Opera House was designated as the official State Rural Drama Center by Act Number 48 of 2001. The Abbeville Opera House was built in 1908 and has been completely restored to its turn-of-the-century condition. The Opera House continues to be used for its original purpose of presenting live theater.

STATE TOBACCO MUSEUM

The South Carolina Tobacco Museum in Mullins, South Carolina was designated as the official State Tobacco Museum by Act Number 222 of 2004. The museum, located in the historic train depot, opened in August of 1998. It concentrates on tobacco artifacts and rural farm life prior to 1950.

STATE HALL OF FAME
SOUTH CAROLINA HALL OF FAME

The South Carolina Hall of Fame was designated as the official State Hall of Fame by Act Number 107 of 2001. The Hall of Fame is located in the Myrtle Beach Convention Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It was created to recognize and honor those contemporary and past citizens who have made outstanding contributions to South Carolina's heritage and progress.

SOUTH CAROLINA PECAN FESTIVAL

The South Carolina Pecan Festival in Florence County was designated as the official State Pecan Festival by Act Number 9 of 2011. The South Carolina Pecan Festival is an award winning community event held annually in downtown Florence, South Carolina. The one day event has all sorts of entertainment including arts and crafts, kids' activities, a variety of food and vendors and live music.

STATE RAILROAD MUSEUM
SOUTH CAROLINA RAILROAD MUSEUM

The South Carolina Railroad Museum in Fairfield County was designated as the official State Railroad Museum by Act Number 155, Part II, Sec. 60 of 1997. This museum was established in 1973, and in 1983 received the former Rockton and Rion Railway. It has a collection of over sixty pieces of equipment to include the only remaining steam locomotive built for use in South Carolina.
